We’re finally doing it! Illya and I are heading to Walt Disney World for the first time. And we’re starting our trip with Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025.

This isn’t our first Disney Halloween—we’ve celebrated at both Disneyland and Oogie Boogie Bash. But it is our first time experiencing the party at Magic Kingdom.

Now that the official party dates are out, everything feels real. We’ve started planning and will be sharing each step of the journey. From booking our resort to choosing our party nights, this trip already feels like one of our most memorable yet.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025: Dates & Our First Planning Steps

Disney has officially announced the party dates for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025, and we couldn’t be more excited. The event runs on select nights from August 15 through October 31, and we’re planning to attend two party nights during our trip. You can view the full list of dates and official party details on the Disney Parks Blog.

While we haven’t finalized every detail yet, here’s what we do know so far:
– We’ll be staying at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, a fun and colorful Value Resort with convenient access to the Skyliner.
– We added 4-day Park Hopper tickets, which give us the flexibility to explore multiple parks each day.
– Both party nights are scheduled early in our trip, before we shift into convention mode for the PlanNet Marketing 10-Year Celebration.

At the moment, we’re thinking about costumes, which parks to visit during the day, and how to pace ourselves. Since this is our first time at Walt Disney World, we’re also taking time to learn the park layout and how everything works. There’s still plenty to figure out, but honestly, planning is part of the magic.

What We’re Most Excited for at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025

Even though we haven’t been to Magic Kingdom before, we’ve watched and read enough to know that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025 is packed with once-a-year experiences. Since we’re going to two party nights, we’re hoping to enjoy it all without feeling rushed.

What’s on Our Must-Do List for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025

  • Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade
This party-exclusive parade features beloved characters, a catchy soundtrack, and the Headless Horseman riding through Main Street. It’s a Disney Halloween classic. We can’t wait to see it in person.

  • Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
We’re big fans of the Sanderson Sisters, so we’re excited for this castle stage show. It features favorite villains like Hades, Jafar, and Dr. Facilier.

  • Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular
This fireworks show is hosted by Jack Skellington and blends spooky effects, music, and castle projections. It’s one of the nighttime highlights we’re most excited for.

  • Trick-or-Treating Throughout the Park
Even as adults, we’re absolutely here for the candy. We love the fun of collecting it at themed stations all over the park.

  • Character Meet-and-Greets
This is where the magic gets personal. We love seeing rare characters in costume, and Mickey and Minnie greeting together in their Halloween best is a must-do.

  • Halloween Merchandise and Pins
As collectors, this is one of our favorite parts. We’ll definitely be looking for exclusive ears, limited-edition pins, and party-only souvenirs.

  • Taking Our Time
With two party nights, we don’t need to rush. One night will let us explore. The second gives us a chance to go back for anything we missed—or want to experience again.

As we get closer to our trip, I’ll be watching for new party guides and snack previews. I’m also looking out for entertainment tips to help us make the most of both nights.

What Is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party?

This special event is packed with spooky entertainment, themed treats, rare characters, and overlays you won’t find during regular park hours.

What makes it even more fun is the way Disney blends Halloween charm with their signature magic. From trick-or-treating and festive shows to unique energy throughout the park, it’s an experience that stands out. While the event is family-friendly, we’ve always loved it as adults too—especially the rare photo ops and exclusive party merchandise.

What Is There to Do at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025?

Let’s be real—there’s no way to do it all in one night at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025. That’s exactly why we chose to attend two party nights! From everything we’ve read, watched, and researched, this event is packed with Halloween magic and extras that go far beyond candy.

There’s exclusive entertainment, rare characters, ride overlays, themed treats, and that unmistakable fall feeling throughout Magic Kingdom. If you’re planning to attend, here’s a look at what we’re most excited for.

Highlights from Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025

  • Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade
A party-exclusive favorite! It features beloved characters, catchy music, and the Headless Horseman leading the way down Main Street. The parade runs twice each night, which makes it easier to work into your schedule.

  • Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
A castle-stage show starring the Sanderson Sisters and their villainous friends. Expect appearances from Hades, Jafar, Dr. Facilier, and more.

  • Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular
Jack Skellington hosts this fireworks show, blending castle projections, spooky effects, and Halloween music. We’re already thinking about our viewing spot.

  • Dance Parties
This year’s lineup includes a Zombies 4-themed party and a Disney Junior Jam. Even though we’re not traveling with kids, we might stop by for the fun.

  • Trick-or-Treating
Yes—we’re absolutely here for the candy. There are treat stations throughout the park with chocolate, fruit-flavored snacks, and allergy-friendly options too.

  • Attraction Overlays
In past years, Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party, and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor all got spooky upgrades. We’re curious to see if Tiana’s Bayou Adventure or Tron Lightcycle Run will be included again in 2025.

More Magic from Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025

  • Character Meet-and-Greets
Rare characters, festive costumes, and fun backdrops make these meet-and-greets extra special. We’ll definitely wait in line to see Mickey and Minnie together in their Halloween best.
  • PhotoPass Magic Shots
Since we added Memory Maker, we’re hoping to collect some of the party-exclusive Magic Shots as we go.
  • Costumes for Adults
This is one of our favorite parts—adults are allowed to wear costumes, which doesn’t happen during regular park hours. We’re still finalizing ours, but I’ll be sharing more soon.
  • Shopping for Pins and Party Merchandise
As pin collectors, this is a big one for us. We’re always drawn to the Halloween displays and limited-edition merch.
  • Shorter Ride Waits
Lightning Lanes aren’t available during the party, but most wait times are much shorter anyway. We’re excited to ride favorites with less stress.

We know we’ll have to pace ourselves. That’s why our plan is simple: use the first night to explore, and the second to go back for favorites. Having two nights lets us enjoy everything without feeling rushed.

2025 Party Dates, Tickets & What’s Included: How We’re Using the Details to Plan

Now that we’ve booked our stay and locked in two party nights, we’re using the official event info to shape the rest of our trip. Even though this isn’t our first Disney Halloween, it’s our first time attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025, so having all the details in one place has been incredibly helpful.

Party Dates by Month

August: 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, 29
September: 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30
October: 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30, 31

With so many dates available, we were able to choose two that fall early in our trip. This gives us time to enjoy the party and recover before our convention begins.

  • May 15: Tickets became available for guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Shades of Green, and the Swan & Dolphin.

  • May 22: Tickets open to the general public.

  • Discounts: Select nights offer reduced pricing for Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members.

We booked our resort early so we could purchase tickets during the first window. Party nights—especially in September and October—tend to sell out quickly, so planning ahead was essential.

Ticket Sale Timeline

A party ticket includes entry into Magic Kingdom starting at 4:00 PM, even though the event officially runs from 7:00 PM to midnight. Here’s what we’re most excited about experiencing:

  • Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade

  • Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular

  • Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks

  • Trick-or-Treating Throughout the Park

  • Exclusive Character Meet-and-Greets

  • Limited-Time Snacks and Party-Only Merchandise

  • Shorter Ride Wait Times and Halloween Overlays

Knowing all of this early helped us shape our plans—from choosing where to stay to pacing out our park days and building in time to rest.

Our Travel Timeline

We’re flying in from California on August 28, with a morning departure and an expected arrival in Orlando around 3:00 to 3:30 PM. That gives us plenty of time to check in at Pop Century, explore the resort, have dinner, and rest up before our first full park day and party night on the 29th.

Since we’re traveling cross-country, we intentionally gave ourselves a buffer day. It lets us settle in without feeling rushed, especially before a packed itinerary.

Our Projected Party Dates & How We’re Pacing the Trip

We’re currently planning to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025 on August 29th and September 2nd. Since we have a 4-day Park Hopper, we’ve built our schedule around those two nights. It’s important to us that we enjoy both parties without overdoing it.

Balancing Full Park Days with Party Nights

On August 29th, we’ll treat it like a full park day. We’ll start early, hop between parks, and then head to Magic Kingdom in the evening for the party. This lets us get the most out of our ticket and the extended hours.

For September 2nd, we’re taking a slower approach. Our plan is to relax during the day, recharge, and arrive at Magic Kingdom refreshed and ready for round two of the party.

This kind of pacing helps us make the most of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025 without burning out—especially with the PlanNet Marketing convention starting right after. If you’re thinking of attending more than one party night, I highly recommend balancing your park time with some built-in downtime.

Why We’re Attending Two Nights of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025

Halloween has become a tradition for us at Disney, so when the opportunity to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025 lined up with our convention trip, it felt like the perfect fit. We’re huge fans of the Halloween season at the parks—and even bigger pin collectors. That alone makes the event worth it for us.

We usually treat the first party night as a warm-up. It’s our chance to take everything in, figure out what we enjoy most, and decide what we want to repeat the second night. Having two nights helps us slow down and enjoy the experience without pressure.

I’ve already started planning which Loungefly bags to bring. Our outfits are still in progress, but I’ll share more about them closer to the trip. We’re also planning a relaxed visit to Disney Springs, probably on Tuesday, to shop, unwind, and revisit a few favorites from our last convention trip. If time allows, I may even swing back again later in the week.

Dining reservations open in June, so we’re keeping an eye out for any table-service spots that catch our attention. We’ve already added Memory Maker and are considering Genie+, though that decision will come closer to travel. For now, we’re keeping it simple. We’ve downloaded the park maps and will pick our top three attractions in each park to start with. After that, we’ll let the magic guide us.

We’re still finalizing our plans, and I’ll be sharing updates as we get closer to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025—including our final outfits, dining picks, and a Disney packing list full of practical must-haves. Whether you’re going as a couple, with kids, or on your own, it’s packed with tips to help you feel ready. If you’re planning your own Halloween adventure, I’d love to help make it magical.

We’ll also be sharing our experience with scooter rentals for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World later this year—so keep an eye out if you’re heading to Florida!
