On August 5, 2025, Disney officially announced that The Beak and Barrel, a pirate-themed lounge in Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland, will open on August 29, 2025.
This immersive new dining spot will welcome guests of all ages with tropical drinks, story-driven snacks, and high-seas atmosphere. In fact, it’s the first pirate-themed location of its kind at Walt Disney World.
What to Expect Inside The Beak and Barrel
To begin with, The Beak and Barrel draws inspiration from both the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and the beloved films. This unique fusion of themes creates an atmosphere that resonates with fans of all ages, inviting them to delve into a world where adventure and whimsy collide.
In addition, guests will step into a pirate’s hideaway filled with nautical details, live entertainment, and interactive surprises. As you wander through the space, you’ll notice intricately designed decor that reflects the lore of the high seas, from weathered barrels to treasure maps adorning the walls. Each element contributes to the immersive experience, making it feel as though you’ve truly entered a pirate’s lair.

Visiting The Beak and Barrel on Our Upcoming Trip
Thankfully, we’ll be at Magic Kingdom on opening day—and The Beak and Barrel is definitely on our radar. This new dining spot has generated quite a buzz, and we can’t wait to see what all the excitement is about.
Since it opens the same day we’re there, we’re hoping to stop in before heading to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party that evening. It will be the perfect opportunity to fuel up with some delicious food before the festivities begin.
The Beak and Barrel Reservation Status
At this time, reservations aren’t showing in the system. However, Disney officially stated they will open on August 14, so we’ll be watching closely. We’re optimistic that we’ll be able to snag a table, as dining at new locations often adds a special touch to our trips.
